Mullets go down despite season’s-best display
Mullets suffered just their second defeat of the season at Selsey after what Torode described complete “one-way traffic” for 90 minutes.
He said: “It was the best we have played all season, we played very, very well. We had numerous chances in the first half and their keeper has pulled off four quality saves. For 25 minutes James Fernandes, literally didn’t touch the ball. It was so disappointing not to get something out of it.”

Hide AdDale Campbell was first to produce a finger-tip save from the keeper as his effort looked destined for the top corner, before Ryan Warr and Josh Biggs just forced splendid saves from volleys as Mullets had chance after chance.
To rub salt into the wounds, Selsey’s Marco Giamberladini put them ahead on 49 minutes with a miss-hit free kick.
Lewis Jenkins and Warr continued the Mullets’ assualt from outwide and the latter had a fine effort saved with 10 minutes to go, which proved it wasn’t to be their evening.
