Midnight Walk volunteers urgently needed
Now, more volunteers are urgently needed to marshal the route and look after the walkers during the night, Saturday, June 27.
The walk starts and finishes at Worthing Leisure Centre, with a choice of seven-mile or 13.1-mile routes through the town and seafront, or a 20-mile route to Shoreham and back.

“Men and women are needed to keep the route safe and to offer enthusiasm and encouragement throughout the night.”
Helpers Torquil Morgan, chairman of Littlehampton Shopmobility, and his daughter Katie, 18, said it was a great idea for families to volunteer together.
Katie explained: “We have fun spending quality time together and help a really worthwhile local cause, all at the same time.”

This year’s is the eighth Midnight Walk. So far, the annual event has raised £1million for St Barnabas House in Worthing.
The money raised from this year’s event will go towards expanding the Hospice at Home night service, caring for patients at home through the night-time hours, which can be the most difficult time for them and their family.
