Voters from the Mid Sussex constituency will head to the polls today in one of the tightest general elections in living memory.

National opinion polls have shown Conservatives and Labour neck and neck over the last few days, and even if one party emerges the winner, neither are expected to have a majority of MPs in the House of Commons.

Candidates in Mid Sussex hoping to replace Nicholas Soames as MP are UKIP’s Toby Brothers, Labour’s Greg Mountain, the Green Party’s Miranda Diboll, Daisy Cooper for the Lib Dems, independent Beki Adam.
