Meet Rother's new police chief

“I am local to the district and it is great to be given the opportunity to oversee the policing of an area that I know and love.”
Ch Insp Botting has been a serving officer with Sussex Police for 27 years.
In the early part of his career he worked in neighbourhood policing and traffic.

Hide AdIn 2005 he was promoted to inspector and served at Gatwick, where he was responsible for introducing the first Neighbourhood Police Team to the airport.
Since 2007, he has been working as a chief inspector in Operations at Sussex Police HQ in Lewes, managing the Tactical Firearms and Dog units.
