Man arrested in Easebourne after car theft

A police spokesman said a house in Weavers Close at Easebourne was broken into at 9.35am.
“A car which was parked outside the house was driven off,” said the spokesman, “using car keys taken from the house.

Hide Ad“The car was abandoned in nearby Lutener Road a few minutes later and after a search police arrested a man in Vanzell Road.”
The spokesman said police were investigating a possible connection between the Easebourne incident and another in Linch Road, Redford, earlier today at 8.25am.
“A van stolen from Hampshire was seen to drive off the road and was abandoned in a nearby field. The driver ran off.”
The 28-year old was arrested on suspicion of car theft, and is in custody for interview and further enquiries.
