Malling
RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION: The association met with local Councillor, Daisy Cooper and James Newmarch from ESCC, on April 6 to talk about the planned work with the lime trees along Blake’s Walk. The intention is to remove some trees, whose neglect has led to fears that the whole avenue might be poor quality and replace them with good quality trees, including Hornbeams, working together with the local arboricultural contractor and ESCC. The new trees will be Heavy Standards. As they grow, in many cases they will be taller and stronger than current trees which will have to be removed because of their poor quality.
SOUTH MALLING SCHOOL: Returns to work on Monday. The school hopes they have had a well-deserved holiday.
