Littlehampton Academy’s plea to collect old exam results
Over the past four years, exam staff at The Littlehampton Academy have accumulated hundreds of results from students which are cooped up in a cabinet.
And with a new batch of A-level marks announced on Thursday (August 15) and GCSEs today (Thursday, August 22), the school is appealing for those who may have forgotten about their grades to pick them up before it’s too late.

“And the thing is some of the results are really good. We have people who have achieved some really high marks so I don’t understand why they haven’t picked them up.”
The school is obliged to keep all results for a 12-month period. After then, it’s up to the discretion of staff as to whether or not they are disposed of.
Mrs Dean added the certificates can be essential when applying for university or jobs. However, she explained it’s got to the point where there isn’t enough space to hold all the marks.
