Help for homeless man after arsonists destroy his bag
Trevor, 48, left his rucksack containing his clothes, sleeping bag and contact numbers for his children in a cupboard behind St John’s Catholic Church in Horsham.
He had experience of it being a safe hiding place, however he returned to find his bag had been set alight in a skip. Since the County Times published his story last week, people have come forward offering help.

If anyone knows where I can find Trevor or any way to contact him, I would be happy to replace the items, sleeping bag, food, clothes etc that he has lost, if he needs it. Unfortunately the phone numbers will still be lost and probably what he is most hurt by losing and hardest to get back.”
David White said: “That’s disgusting! I hope someone reports who did it as they’ll obviously brag about it to their mates. If he needs a good rucksack I’ve one that needs a good home.”
People have also contacted ARK Horsham, the charity where Trevor gets support.
Founder Lisa Burrell said: “We and Trevor are so grateful for all the offers of donations we have received.

“We hope in the future to have our own building so we can help more people like Trevor.”
The charity meets at Horsham United Reformed Church in Springfield Road. For more information visit thearkhorsham.org.uk
