Hide AdASHDOWN FOREST POULTRY CLUB: Have their open Christmas meeting and social on Tuesday at 8pm at The Goward Hall, Cade Street, near Heathfield. The speaker is Simon Fuller from the Kent Smallholders association. He will be giving a talk and demonstration of Preparing your Birds For the Table, showing how to prepare and cook turkeys, chicken, duck, pheasant, Quail etc. The meetings are free, open to anyone interested in keeping chickens etc in the garden, and maybe showing them. We have delicious refreshments, raffles, egg competitions etc and we are very friendly and informal. Any queries please contact the secretary, Mrs Celia Edmonds on 01273474555.
