Green Flags for two of the area's parks
Hotham Park retains the award for the fourth year running and Marine Park Gardens for the second.
Paul Dendle, the council’s cabinet member for environmental services, said: “These awards speak volumes about the hard work that has been put in by members of staff, local residents and our many active and committed friends groups and volunteers to create clean, safe and green environments people can enjoy and be proud of.

Affectionately dubbed the ‘people’s park’, Hotham Park is supported by several voluntary groups whose members give up their free-time to help with projects.
Michael Rowland, Hotham Park manager, said: “The Green Flag award is very important to us and we are delighted to be flying it again for a fourth year.
“We remain committed to continuing to develop and improve the park.”
Marine Park Gardens in Aldwick is a traditional 1930s-style garden with extensive annual and perennial planting.
