Goring nurse completes cycle ride for Chestnut Tree House
Benita Milton, senior staff nurse at BMI Goring Hall Hospital in Bodiam Avenue, set off from Felpham near Bognor Regis on June 15, with 12 other cyclists, including her husband, and arrived in France two days later.
The team, which was followed by a van and two supporters, cycled to Portsmouth where they caught a ferry to Caen in France, they then got back on their bikes and completed the 180-mile ride to Paris, where they arrived on June 17.

Hide AdBenita said: “I’m very glad I put in the training in the months leading up to the challenge as it wasn’t easy.
“However, it was simply stunning, something I will never forget.”
Benita and her team, named the Sussex Stragglers, have taken part in other rides before, including the London to Brighton ride, and have cycled around the Isle of Wight.
Together they have raised more than £1,000, through sponsorship and donations for this ride.
