Steyning Athletic Club's historic Easter Monday walking races went ahead but without its famous 15-mile event which organisers scrapped due to a lack of support and problems with health and safety.

Hide AdAn adult 5km road race took place in Steyning High Street followed by a 2km road run for 11 to 18-year-olds and the a 2km race walk for those aged 12 and over.
The popular junior walking races for the under-12s, and under sevens also went ahead along with toddlers races.
In the afternoon hundreds of competitors from national clubs lined up for two different time starts of the duathlon of a 7km run, a 36km cycle and a 5km run around Steyning and the surrounding villages.
