Flooding hits traders hard in Littlehampton industrial estate
TRADERS suffered what for them was the worst floods in a generation when the tidal surge caused the River Arun to burst its banks.
Businesses in the Riverside Industrial Estate, in Bridge Road, Littlehampton, were left with bills running into the thousands after the flood water caused damage in the early hours of Friday morning.
Jay Hunter, manager of Browns Seafoods, came to work on Friday morning and saw silt and bins and pallets displaced by the water.

Hide AdBut it was only when he looked at CCTV footage taken outside the business’s industrial unit that he saw the full extent of the flooding.
