On Monday the developer and Lewes-based architects BBM Sustainable Design met with Lansdown Road residents.
A number have told the Express they are very unhappy with what is suggested for the site.

Hide AdUrsula Appleton said: 'I was stunned and I couldn't even stay to the end of their presentation.
'The glass-fronted shops look like something from a shopping mall in Crawley and they want to put up a building which will be two storeys above our homes, because they can't put any house on ground level because of the flood risk.
'The architect said it was in keeping with Lewes but I don't know how he can say that.
'It reduced me to tears.
'We will have to get hold of a planning lawyer and fight it every step of the way.'

Hide AdJenny Mumford, whose posters against over-development of Lewes recently sparked off a protest march through the town, was also critical of the plans.
She said: 'Things have gone from bad to worse.
'It's the same old story as what happened on the Lewes House site, it's too much in one small place and making it worse for people who already live in the area rather than enhancing the area.
'There are also not enough car parking spaces because people will bring their cars if they work in the offices or visit the restaurant or the shops.'
