Entries open for 8k race in aid of domestic abuse charity
And to mark the domestic abuse charity's tenth birthday, a special 1k run for girls turning 10 in 2017 is also scheduled.
Entrants can run the 8K alone, in a team of four, or take part in the 2K Women’s Relay as a team of four.

Hide AdThe race will start in Saltdean on Sunday, October 8, from 10.15am.
Julie Hales, fundraising manager, said: “Women from all over Sussex run the RISE 8K. It’s really popular. The friendly atmosphere and camaraderie en route, plus a manageable distance for new and less experienced runners make it a winner.”
All the money raised helps support local families affected by domestic abuse. With referrals up by in the last six months, RISE said it relies on fundraising to help run services including the local domestic abuse helpline, support for children and young people and low-cost counselling services.
