Elsie, 103, celebrates her birthday with music and dancing
And staff at Ladymead Care Home in Hurstpierpoint, where Elsie lives, were happy to oblige.
A lover of music and dance, Elsie requested a Charleston Dance and some music to celebrate her special day.

Hide AdStudents from Ariel Drama Academies in Bolney were invited to volunteer to put on a special show just for Elsie.
The celebration took place at the care home with the students performing a Charleston dance for Elsie and her friends.
Dressed in traditional flapper costumes, the students gave their all in a spirited performance, much to Elsie’s delight.
Tom Ball, a senior Ariel student who is currently studying performing arts at Central Sussex College, then went on to sing some classic hits including Fly Me to the Moon and Moon River which had all the residents tapping their feet and singing along.

Hide AdNicci Hopson, Ariel Drama Academy principal, who helped arrange the visit, said: “It was a very emotional afternoon.
“Elsie and all the residents of the Ladymead Care Home loved the entertainment and the students could not hide their pride in providing such a memorable afternoon for a lovely lady.”
