Electrifying fun in the school playground!
Despite the wind and the rain the newly-built cars proved themselves extremely road worthy as they whizzed in between the lines of tyres collected from Kwik Fit by the team from the Fire and Rescue Service and laid out on the playground to ensure a safe race for all involved.
Additional help from Paul Evans from Battle Fire Station ensured that health and safety measures were met and all the children succeeded in driving their new vehicles around the track.

Hide AdGill Hamilton, Bexhill Children's Fund Activities Co-ordinator, said: "I'd like to thank the Bexhill Fire and Rescue Service once again for the tremendous backing they provided for the Children's Fund in organising the racing of the electric-powered Goblin cars at Bexhill High School with the town's primary pupils.
An extra thank you must also go to parent Keith Fairbrother who added extra excitement to the afternoon by leading off with a lap of honour from his very own petrol-driven kart supported by his chief mechanic Matthew Fairbrother, yet another member of the Racing Car Club at Bexhill High."
