Drusillas rated excellent on Trip Advisor reviews
This comes on the back of the park’s success in Trip Advisor’s 2015 Travellers’ Choice Awards, which saw Drusillas as the eighth best rated UK zoo and named the twenty-first best rated zoo in Europe – ahead of London Zoo, Chessington World of Adventures, Marwell Zoo, Port Lympne and Howletts.
Laurence Smith, managing director at Drusillas, said, “We are absolutely delighted to have been rated so highly by our customers.

“Drusillas Park is constantly evolving and improving; we introduce new animals and attractions every year and are constantly adding value.
“Only this week, we opened our brand new splash pad experience, Get Wet!, which is proving very popular with our younger visitors.”
Roger O’Leary, assistant operations manager, spoke about the new attraction and said, “We’ve splashed out £300,000 on this investment and our visitors will not be disappointed in the results. Based on my own first-hand experience, I can now say that Get Wet! is an awesome attraction and will be a fountain of fun for all the family.” Drusillas Park is a family run business founded in 1925, when the late Captain Ann bought a derelict farm and 20 acres of land and opened the cottage to sell teas to passing motorists.

Drusillas remained in the Ann family until 1997 when it was acquired by current owners Laurence and Christine Smith, after selling a nationwide recruitment business. Joined today by daughters Cassandra and Caroline, the Smiths have invested heavily in the park over the past few years and its home to more than 100 species.
