Hide AdWelcoming Des to the shop and thanking him for his support, St Barnabas' medical director Dr Adrian Ruddle joked: "It would be lovely to get you along with Rory Bremner and then there would be two of you!"
To which Des replied: "Well, actually, I am Rory Bremner."
The Rustington branch was the third shop to open and St Barnabas' now has 12 shops in West Sussex.
The shop sells donated items such as clothes, collectables and bric-a-brac, raising funds for the hospice.
St Barnabas' Hospice is a charity which provides specialist palliative care to people with cancer and motor-neurone disease.
Care is provided free to those who need it and the hospice is almost entirely funded by charitable donations.
