Debut for Eastergate maypole dancers at village fun day
The newly-formed maypole team will be giving its demonstration at the fun on the farm fundraiser for the three parish churches. The performance of the traditional display, along with the ever-popular Irish dancing team, will be one of the highlights of the latest of the annual occasions.
Farmers Jim and Paul Helyer are again opening Manor Farm in Church Lane to the community between midday and 4.30pm.

Hide AdChildren will be able to enjoy themselves with two magic shows from Kiku the Clown at 1.15pm and 2.45pm.
A bouncy castle, tractor rides, face painting, crafts and games will provide plenty to keep them occupied.
Adults can buy plants, play some old-fashioned games, enjoy and art and craft exhibition in Eastergate's church and enjoying lunch or a cream tea.
