Hide AdThe exhibition, entitled The Cabinet of Curiosity, was the brain child of museum curator, Jessica Petit. She said: “Cabinets of curiosity is quite a hot topic in museums at the moment. But I’m not the only one to do it. Throughout the country, a lot of museums are doing it. It’s an opportunity to use pieces from our collections which might not be used.”
She said the idea was inspired by museum’s of old, where wealthy explorers and private collectors would display interesting artefacts and treasures from their trails across the globe.
The display will run all this year.
