Attendees included Cllr Christine Costin; Chairman of Horsham in Bloom Sue Brundish; Chairman of Horsham District Council Cllr Christian Mitchell; and Cabinet Member for Leisure and Culture Cllr Jonathan Chowen. Cllr Chowen formally thanked all the volunteers for their dedication, commitment and hard work over the past year.
Last year over 350 different conservation volunteers put in over 19,000 hours of volunteer effort in maintaining and improving the council’s green spaces. This has meant that important nature conservation works have been able to take place on Parks and Countryside sites throughout the district that otherwise the council would not be able to deliver.
