The show is based on the Lookalike agency run by Eastbourne’s Andy Harmer, who is also a David Beckham double. The camera crew follow the agency’s workers around in their day-to-day life at home and at work.
A huge present box was placed in the Arndale Centre with one of the celebrity imitators hiding inside. He or she then jumped out of the box and startled passing shoppers.

Hide AdOne onlooker, retail manager Jo Burgum, 41, said, “It looked like a Ricky Gervais double was jumping out of the box, a lot of people were surprised at what was going on. It was an exciting time on a Wednesday afternoon in Eastbourne, it got everyone interested.”
The show highlights the struggles of a celebrity lookalike agency worker. One episode from the first series featured Tim Oliver trying to not behave as his on-screen double David Brent from The Office as he struggles to separate professional life from personal.
The assistant producer on the set was reluctant to give away any of seasons two’s secrets but she said she was ‘excited’ to once again be filming in Eastbourne.
