BREAKING NEWS: Major fire in Newhaven

Fire appliances from Newhaven, Roedean, Eastbourne, Hailsham, Lewes, Seaford and the aerial ladder platform vehicle from Brighton are at the scene.
Reports were received by the fire service just after 3.30am today (Wednesday, July 19).

Hide AdThere are no reports of any individuals being involved, East Sussex Fire and Rescue Servive (ESFRS) said.
The incident, ESFRS added, was scaled down at around 6.30am this morning and two appliances, along with a water carrier, a multi-purpose truck and an aerial ladder platform remain at the scene.
The A26 remains open.
It is currently unknown how the fire started, but a fire investigation is underway and a building inspector has been requested to attend.
