Bognorian celebrates 100th in style
Betty Bell, nee Glasspool, marked her special birthday on Friday with a party at the Abbeyfield Care Home.
The party was attended by family, residents and a few old friends.

Hide AdBetty’s son Lewis Bell said his mother had lived in the town all her life, spending most of it in the Bassett Road area.
“Mum grew up in the town. In fact she worked at the old Nyewood Primary School as a dinner lady for about 27 years. Myself and my sister also attended the school.
“It is strange to think what was the school is next to the existing Abbeyfield premises where she now lives. She has never really moved very far.”
Betty’s daughter Ann Makerlou was also at the celebration. She said: “It is amazing to think that Mum is celebrating her 100th birthday.”
The family will mark the occasion with a meal at the Robin Hood in Shripney.
