ALARM AS CALLOUS YOBS SHOOT SWANS
.Two incidents of swans being shot within a month have shocked members of WADARS (Worthing and District Animal Rescue Service).
On Wednesday morning, the charity picked up a swan that had two pellets under its wing in its breast area.

Hide AdThis incident comes after WADARS picked up a swan about a month ago that had a single pellet in its neck.
Billy Elliott from WADARS said: "Swans are protected by the crown and indeed harming them would carry an extremely heavy fine or a prison sentence."
Billy said the swan would be taken to the Swan Sanctuary in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, to have an operation to remove the pellets after having an x-ray at Grove Lodge veterinary surgery in Worthing.
