Head of art Sam Hobbs said: “This has been such an uplifting project to work on whilst the school has been closed to most students. Chloe’s designs are modern and dynamic and they have transformed our corridors. The mural team are all art specialists and I am so proud of what we have achieved.
Further artistic transformations took place outside, with many of the school staff and parents giving up their time to pick up a paint brush and get creative. Staff said they wanted to put a smile on the face of anyone visiting the school, knowing there was likely to be a backdrop of anxiety and uncertainty surrounding September’s return. Volunteers of all ages worked together to transform tired and drab communal areas, using vibrant patterns and colours as a bold, artistic expression of hope and adventure.
