The Government has announced today (November 26) that West Sussex will join the vast majority of the nation in tier two, meaning it is on ‘high alert’.

Coronavirus infections in every area of West Sussex have been below the national average, according to Public Health England, but the Government appears to be taking a cautious approach to loosening social guidelines.
A total of 8,774 people have tested positive in the county since the pandemic began, with a further 109 testing positive yesterday.
The daily average number of cases has been falling since November 13, according to Public Health England’s figures.

Hide AdTier two means people cannot socialise indoors with other households outside of their own bubble and can mix with up to six people outdoors – maintaining the Rule of Six laid out before lockdown.
Pubs and bars must close, unless operating as restaurants and hospitality venues can only serve alcohol with substantial meals.
