A spokeswoman for the Sussex COVID-19 Vaccination Programme confirmed more than 278,000 people have now been given the lifesaving jab.
She said: “We are on course to have offered the vaccination to everyone in the top four priority groups across Sussex by mid-February, in line with the national target.

Anyone who is eligible but has not yet heard about an appointment can use the national booking system to arrange their vaccine at a vaccination centre or pharmacy service, the spokeswoman added.
She said: “GP teams are following up with any of their patients they are yet to vaccinate.”
