Emily, 12, was inspired to take on the challenge for the Haywards Heath charity after she learned about a family friend’s volunteer work with them.
She wanted to run 84km in total, more than two marathons, over the month of February and ended up running 108.3km.

“On the final day I managed 8.3km,” she said.
“I am so grateful for the support of my family, friends and teachers.”
Burgess Hill Girls head Liz Laybourn said she was impressed with Emily’s achievement.
“This was a proper challenge for Emily to commit herself to a new physical challenge every day and beat her target,” said Liz.
