The school, which opened three years ago, is an independent day school for pupils diagnosed with autism aged between seven and 19.
David Walliams sent his special video after Chris Beard, one of the school’s learning support assistants, thought it would be a lovely idea if the famous children’s author could read to students during their popular ‘Drop Everything and Read’ Time.
Debbie said: “It was a bit of a shot in the dark, ” adding: “We subsequently received the video message, which we really appreciated David taking the time to do.”
