“The new bookings and enquiries are brilliant news for Eastbourne’s economy, with the return of delegates providing a much needed boost to hotels, restaurants and many other local businesses.
“Conference Eastbourne has done a superb job adapting to the various challenges over the past 12 months and we are looking forward to providing first-class facilities for conferences and events once again.”
Despite conferences being put on hold, the centre team has been working since March 2020 on food box preparations, in large-scale vaccination centres and providing a Covid-ready venue for essential meetings and training events for organisations including the NHS and East Sussex County Council.
