Takeaways in and around Hastings, Bexhill and Rye that have helped people 'survive' lockdown

Here we look at some of the restaurants, takeaways, caterers, pop-ups and mobile restaurants that Observer readers have said helped them get through lockdown.
1. Bentley’s Takeaway
Based at 12 Western Road, Bexhill, food is available Wednesday to Saturday 5pm-8.:30pm and ordered through Just Eat. It offers something for everyone with meat, vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options.
2. Moda
Moda offers freshly prepared food including burgers, wraps, sides and desserts. All come with a great selection of vegetarian and vegan choices. You can order food from Moda using their own app (Moda Hastings), through Just Eat or Deliveroo. Delivery every day from 5pm, Sundays from 4pm.
3. Pebbles on the Beach
Its opening hours are Tuesday - Saturday 4- 9pm and Sunday 12 - 4pm. It mainly serves seafood as well as some meat dishes and also vegetarian. Apart from the burger the whole menu is gluten free. It also serves a roast on a Sunday. The restaurant is on Just Eat or you can order directly over the phone by calling 01424 218400.
4. The BBQ Project, The Bull Inn, Battle
Running Friday-Sunday 5pm-9pm every week delivering to Hastings, Battle and surrounding areas. Its ethos is homemade bbq style food using fresh local produce to create not only meat based dishes but also fish and vegetarian/vegan.
