Durwin Banks, founder and farmer of The Linseed Farm, is expanding into skin care after two decades farming linseed and with his sister Wendy, and now nephew Lee.
He sells a range of linseed products online and via distributors including pods, culinary oils, and oils for animals but after months of planning, testing, and trialling he has diversified with a range of high end, spa quality face creams, soap bars, and a hyaluronic acid serum.

“The natural omega three content of the oil combined with the well-known hydrating abilities of linseed produces the most luxurious skin food to be found.
“For our face we have an unscented and a natural lavender and chamomile cream. It hydrates and plumps the skin, smoothing out fine lines, giving a healthy glow.”
The latest product to be added to the range is a hyaluronic acid serum – regarded as the holy grail of anti-aging skincare by millions of women and beauty bloggers worldwide, he added.

“This synchronicity is what gives it such powerful rejuvenating properties. We have also added pomegranate seed oil which protects skin damaged by the sun, D-Panthenol which is pro vitamin B5, Olive Squalene which helps reduce redness and Frankincense which encourages new cell growth and is one of the best known regenerating ingredients.”
The entire range has been subjected to testing with a Cosmetic Safety Report (required under EU regulations) to legally sell cosmetic products and the face creams and serum have safety assessments, he added. In the pipeline are linseed and Rhassoul clay facemask and a linseed hand cream.
He said: “This is the realisation of a long held ambition to bring skin care products that really supercharge and cherish the skin for women of all ages; that are high end but available at an affordable price.”

He added: “Simply email [email protected] with your answer to the question: ‘Which four additional ingredients are in the linseed serum?’
“Winners will be drawn at random on December 15 and notified by email. Please note you must be based in the Horsham District and over the age of 18.”
