But he was also in Snafu and Juicy Lucy.
He has toured with Roger Chapman, Frankie Miller and Chris Farlowe and in his long musical career he has played with many artists, including Eric Clapton, Alvin Lee, Mick Taylor, Paul Jones, Paul Weller, Eric Bibb, Mud Morganfield and one of his early guitar heroes Duane Eddy.

Hide AdMicky is regarded as one of the best slide guitarists in the country, with a distinctive vocal style. He has always been one of the hardest working live musicians around and continues to perform regularly with his own band, which includes Ali Maas on vocals.
At Coolham, Micky and Ali will be joined by Ian Jennings on double bass and Micky Moody jnr on percussion.
Ali Maas is originally from Horsham but now lives in London and has been in bands from an early age.
She is a powerful blues and rock vocalist and has always been a songwriter, writing all the material for her indie rock band McQueen.

Hide AdAs well as being part of Micky’s band she fronts her own touring blues rock band and has performed with both line-ups at Coolham previously.
She is currently co-writing a brand new album with Micky Moody, which has seen a new creative departure for them both, allowing them to develop their own unique sound, which they describe as ‘dynamic rocking blues and swampy Americana’.
The album is due for release in the near future and the Coolham gig will give them an opportunity to air some of their new material.
Opening the evening will be Tommy Hare, a highly regarded young singer songwriter, who is based in London and is lead singer with the London soul rock band, MACK.

Hide AdTommy draws on experience and influence gained from working with members of both the Rolling Stones and the Faces, who he was introduced to by his friend and musical collaborator, boogie and rock ’n’ roll piano player Ben Waters.
In Tommy’s words he “cobbles together his sound from a broad palette of the cultures of the American South” to form what he refers to as ‘country soul’.
The gig will be at Coolham Village Hall at 8pm (doors opening at 7.15pm). Tickets cost £20 with a fish and chip supper or £15 without.
There is no licenced bar, so people are advised to bring their own drinks and refreshments.
