VIDEO: Horsham’s Sugar and Snow - a nod to the American diner
Local backers Sylwia Reed and Rachel and Stephen Imhoff told the County Times that they began to discuss the idea seriously as recently as September.
“We don’t call ourselves a gelaterie,” said Rachel.
“I’ve said to people before that Sugar and Snow has nods to the American diner, nods to the gelaterie, nods to all of those things.”

Sylwia said their passion for the projecthad kept it moving: “We just bumped into each other one day, started talking, and realised we had exactly the same dream.”
Rachel explained: “We’ve always wanted to do something along this sort of line, we’re just hoping that the community will enjoy it as much as we do.”
Their vision includes ice cream made on site, locally sourced ingredients, gluten free options, dairy free sorbets, and low fat options for anyone who wants them.
