Lucy Worsley explores our dark obsession with notorious crimes
An illustrated tour through the dark story of our fascination with murder is offered as historian Lucy Worsley takes to the stage with A Very British Murder at Worthing’s Connaught Theatre on Wednesday, February 4.
A historian and chief curator at the charity Historic Royal Palaces, Lucy has covered the history of this very British obsession in a recent book and BBC TV series.
She will examine some notorious crimes and criminals, but she will also explain how murder became a form of middle-class entertainment through novels, plays, paintings, and the press.
