Horsham businesses go bowling to help firm hit charity target
A total of 18 teams entered into the tenpin bowling competition in aid of St Catherine’s Hospice.
Digby Armstrong, a senior partner at Rawlison Butler, praised the local business community for helping the firm meet its goal.

Hide AdHe said: “I’m delighted to say with the financial results this evening we’ve actually topped the £30,000 to raise.”
He added: “We really are thrilled. Of course it has to be said that raising that sum of money the business community here must take some credit for that because we could not do it without them.”
And before the competition Digby joked: “We are not good enough win, but we are better at law than we are at bowling.”
Team entry was £30 and a £100 voucher for Cote restaurant and a £60 voucher for Bill’s were raffled off on the night.

Hide AdCharlotte Thompson, of Freeman Brothers, won the voucher for Cote and a bunch of pink roses in the raffle.
She said: “It’s lovely. I don’t often win anything. I might take my boss [to Cote].”
The team from Courtney Green ‘The Little Ball Ticklers’ won first prize with a score of 503.
And Mortgage Solutions and Wakefield Jewellers teams came joint second, scoring 451.

Hide AdTristan from Wakefield Jewellers, had the highest individual score.
Digby gave special thanks to Jo Creras, Lorraine Tennent, Dianne Bedford and Dan Jones for the work they put in organising the event.
