As part of Coastal Currents festival, local artist Rebeka Lord will be taking over the Bexhill Oxfam shop.
From September 1-12 she will show mixed media paintings based on Bexhill architecture and landscapes. The paintings will be displayed alongside ‘ready-made’ art of objects found in the shop itself. Rebeka’s work is based on the idea that different people perceive the same objects/scenes differently. The exhibition is called ‘Scaffolding Makes Me Squeal’ as her work focusses on the scaffolding around the Clock Tower and also controversial beach shelters.
