Angmering pewtersmith is a World Cup winner
Angmering-based pewtersmith Fleur Grenier has been given a second commission by the Rugby Football Union (RFU) to produce commemorative pewter bowls.
Fleur was originally asked to make the bowls for the RFU to present to its long-serving members, but her design proved to be such a success that the body asked her to make a further set of the mementos, which will be given as keepsakes to representatives of visiting international rugby union authorities.

Hide AdRFU head of public affairs Nick Bunting turned to Fleur to design and make the bowls after meeting her when she gave a talk about her work at the Worshipful Company of Pewterers, in London. He was looking for a unique gift to thank RFU stalwarts.
Her design features the English rose symbol worn by the national team on their shirts, and Fleur made the bowls at her Mettle Studios workshop on the Roundstone bypass.
She said: “I was thrilled to receive this second commission and hope to be able to work with the RFU again in the future.”
